EF Class' Data Processor Agreement (DPA)

All schools with teachers using EF Class must sign the EF Class Data Processor Agreement (DPA). For more information about what it is and why it’s important, please see below, and please make sure that the right person at your school signs.

Why do I need to sign a Data Processor Agreement (DPA)?

As a school you are, by definition, a data controller. And as such, you are obligated to sign a Data Processor Agreement (DPA) with subcontractors who process personal data on your behalf.

Who should sign it?

Whomever is entitled to sign in the name of your school - in most cases this will be the principal, school leader, or equivalent.

How do you sign?

  • Go to EF Class DPA page to find the editable pdf of our DPA.
  • Fill out the details of your school in the form
  • Sign it electronically. You can also print this for your own records.
  • An automatic email is triggered and sent back to us with the signed agreement.

You have a local DPA. Can we sign yours instead?

In order to help you comply with GDPR, we have created a Data Processor Agreement for you that meets all requirements set by the Data Protection Authority. This agreement requires us to process personal data safely. EF Class is currently being used by more than 2,000 schools in Europe. Therefore, we cannot sign a separate agreement per school.

If you have any questions about EF Class and GDPR that are not answered above, or in the main article on the GDPR, we will be happy to help you. Please contact Support for this.
